Blue carts, moving and extra waste
WM handles recycling carts at 1-800-561-1655. Do not send a blue-cart repair request to the municipal green/grey service.
Each household’s standard municipal set is one 80 Lgreen cart and one 240 Lgrey cart. Additional carts are not sold. For extra waste, the city directs residents to the Waste Resource Innovation Centre at 110 Dunlop Drive for a fee. Special household circumstances should be discussed with Solid Waste Resources.
Leave carts behind when moving out: they belong to the city or WM and are registered to the property. When moving in, ask Solid Waste Resources about green and grey carts. Store carts on private property, away from the road and boulevard, and write the address in the provided space.
